You shouldn't *have* to be a stunt man..

I'm still in a whirl from last week's flashride to Parliament and still picking up all the pieces from the political fall out.  Needless to say that behind the scenes lots of people are talking about cyclist's safety.  Will it come to much? Who knows.  But in the meantime it leaves precious little time for any serious blogging.  So, before you all scuttle off to write to your MPs to thank them - or not - for attending last week's cycle safe debate at Westminster and to encourage them all to keep up the pressure, here's a fun video from the Times about your average morning commute through London...

It’s hard to find knowledgeable people on this topic, but you sound like you know what you’re talking about! Thanks....

Love the video, but this is of course showing the average car drivers view of just how insane we all are. Does that help the cause???

Perhaps a better video would be this one. Our roads ought to be safe enough for this family, filmed in Switzerland:

I like it: Our council has just given in to 16 years of campaigning and provided a 200 metre long cycle route between two villages so school children can make a slightly indirect but car free route to school.

Only problem, it's 90cm wide.

Apparently this is for 'Environmental reasons'

I couldn't help but thinking that this had sort of been done before in an advert for the Fietsersbond.
